Watch the on-demand recording of our fourth ENT聽to learn from past controversies in ENT and how to manage patients who present diagnosis or treatment challenges.

Morning meeting

This session covers common paediatric ENT issues, starting with parent FAQs. Haytham Kubba (Glasgow) will discuss glue ear, Su De and Sunil Sharma (Liverpool) will address recurrent acute otitis media, Steven Powell (Newcastle) will explore nasal blockages post-adenoidectomy, and Kate Blackmore (Middlesbrough) will cover neck lumps. Professor Julina Ongkasuwan (Texas Children's Hospital), a specialist in both Paediatric ENT and laryngology, will deliver a keynote address.

After coffee, the Paediatric ENT Update Series continues with Vicky Thorpe and Alex Stewart (Great Ormond Street) on speech and language therapy, Reema Nandi on paediatric anaesthesia, and Jason Powell (Newcastle) on the role of tonsils and adenoids. The session concludes with Ravi Thevasagayasm (Sheffield) discussing Inducible Laryngeal Obstruction in children.

Afternoon meeting

This session covers advanced paediatric ear disease management. Jessica Bewick and Konstance Tzifa will discuss their paediatric hearing loss MDT, genetic investigations, and Cytomegalovirus-related hearing loss. Isobel Fitzgerald O鈥機onnor will highlight surgical ear care in resource-limited settings, and Tamsin Brown will present HearGlueEar, a low-cost hearing device for children.

After the break, the Otology Masterclass will focus on childhood cholesteatoma management. The day concludes with Michel Poulain sharing insights from his research on Blue Zones鈥攔egions with the world鈥檚 longest-lived populations.
